quick robot builds

tripod robot

This is the smallest robot I could think of! Try:

• changing the angle of the motor to change how it moves, you should be able to make it go sort-of-straight.
• a 2 or 3 motor version!

gear robot

This one is great fun but requires more careful assembly.

1. To get the friction between the motor and the wheel correct you should take care putting the straws together at the start, they shouldn’t wobble.

2. Tape the motor to the straws really securely, no wobble either!

crawler robot

There’s so much you can do with this.

1. How many different ways can you build wheels to attach to your robot?
2. Build an obstacle course and then design wheels/feet that can climb over it.
